I posted this question in the general discussion area, but maybe it's better here. I have a telephone consultation with a lapband surgeon today, and I'm wondering what kinds of questions I should be asking him? Does anyone have suggestions?

To tell you the truth, since my husband and I have been on this website, we have gotten so many of our questions answered that I don't think we had many for the surgeon. Although recovery questions are good to ask, how long, when can you return to work, activities(when can they be resumed) ? Things like that. Good Luck

Thanks - Yes this site is really great. I can't think of many things I need answered that aren't already covered here.

Many surgeons have different rules and regs. For example. Many of the members talk about weeks of pre-op liquid diets. My surgeon, after our first meeting, said he only requires three days. they are all different so ask anyway. the cost of fills after your year of post-op care is up. I've seen everything from $50 to $375. Definately a consideration. My surgeon will go through my belly button to reduce the number of scars. Some don't. I'd make a list regardless so you know what to expect.
