im wondering if anyone from California has had the surgery while on med-cal or covered California

im kinda feeling a little alone and nervous

i havent gotten aproved or even started with the process but

i was wondering if anyone has gotten approved from medi-cal without any co-morbidities

my bmi is 49.5

and im 5'2"

I am not in CA, but with a 49.5 BMI, you shouldn't need to have comorbidities. Call your insurance and see if they cover the procedure or visit a surgeon for an info session and ask them to verify with your insurance.

Don't stress yourself out.

Most insurances do require a documented weight loss program (6 months is typical) and several tests to make sure that the surgery would be able to be safely completed.

There are people on this forum who have medi-Cal and have been approved for surgery. I've seen previous posts. Try doing a topic search and see what comes up.
