Pre-OP diet & left abdominal pain?!

I'm on day 4 of pre-OP liquid diet and yesterday I started with a dull pain in my lower left abdomen, it wasn't horrible or anything as the night when on I noticed it more. Throughout the night it got worse in certain positions and this morning it's more like my whole left abdomen now the pain is not unbearable but it's starting to get painful sitting helps standing makes it worse! Could this be gas pain? Did anyone else experience this?

  • Thanks! My pcp said it could be my intestines clearing out! It's not unbearable it's just annoying because I've never felt this in this area, but then again I've never just had liquid for 3-4 days!

I'm day 3 of pre-op liquid, I noticed some slight irritation yesterday. I just thought it was maybe gas pain, with all that liquid moving things around. Obviously if it continues go to the doctor. As for me it's not been alarming so I'm fine not talking to a doctor. Good luck and I hope the pain subsides soon ????????
