I am insured with Humana though USAA and tonight I went to a intro seminar. The doctor mentioned six months of doctor-supervised weight loss program. My partner has a coworker (with same insurance plan) who when to the same doctor as I did and said she had her initial appt and surgery was a month apart. Has anybody here wait the six months??

The surgeon will not know your specific insurance requirements. Six months is pretty standard so maybe he was speaking hypothetically. You should call your insurance company and ask them.

I have Humana through USAA and yeah, my approval took almost 10 months. Sucks, but REALLY helped me mentally prepare.
