My name is Kerrie. I am getting ready to start my preop diet on this upcoming Weds. I had the band put in in 2011 and had to have it removed Dec 2014. I did have some few minor issues with it but really did find it very helpful, until it finally slipped. I lost about 50 lbs which was not nearly all the weight I needed to lose, however i felt good, I kept it off and it kept me from gaining any more. Since I had to have the band removed I have already gained appx 25 lbs and feel terrible. I am looking forward to getting the sleeve, however I am VERY nervous at the same time, as we would all like to be guaranteed to come out healthy and have no surgical complications. I have three children and the thought of being sick (or worse) is terrifying. I remind myself that I only have one life to live, and I feel this is going to greatly improve the quality of my life so it IS the right choice to make. Good luck to all !!!
