Blood sugar after surgery

I'm diabetic. In the year before surgery I dropped my a1c from 8.9 to 5.5. Perfect! But still had high fasting numbers and if I ate carbs my numbers would jump. I'm happy to report that since surgery my numbers have been fantastic!

    This is awsome! I'm diabetic as well and trying to decide between RNY and VSG. Because I diebetes everyone is suggesting RNY but if I can eliminate my diabetes issues with VSG than I definitely want to consider it. Good for you!

    I struggled with that as well. I was told rny would reverse the diabetes in hours (in most cases) and that I could reverse it with the sleeve but it would take a while and come through weight loss. I decided I was ok with it taking a little while, as the rny just scares me too much!
