Is cheese ok Pre-op

I probably already know the answer to this question, as it wasn't listed as an example of things I can have on my diet. But, there were only suggestions listed.

Does anybody else know if cheese, preferably weight watchers jalapeno' string cheese, is allowed on your pre-op?

I'm supposed to be eating creamy Soups, yogurt, Jello, broths, etc.

Just curious if anyone ate cheese! LOL :)

I only ate things on my surgeon's list. There will be plenty of time for cheese after surgery. It's a staple in my world. Trust me.

Sounds like you're on full liquids and I've never heard of cheese falling into that category so I would assume no. Keep in mind the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver and make your surgery safer. B

Sounds like you're on full liquids and I've never heard of cheese falling into that category so I would assume no. Keep in mind the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver and make your surgery safer. Best to play everything safe at this point. If you get into surgery and your liver hasn't shrunk enough, your surgeon could call off the surgery.

Don't take my word for it though as I'm not entirely certain, that's just my thought on the matter.
