Hi -If paying for lap band yourself, how long do you have to wait to get surgery? I know that with insurance it is 6 months. Do you think they offer it more willingly when paying cash?

I am sure it just depends on your surgeon(s) schedule.

My process is happening very quickly, I'm thrilled to say. From seminar to surgery, it will be 11 days! I wanted to get it done in time to have some days to recover before a road trip and the advocate at my center has been able to make it happen.

I am self pay and I called the office and scheduled for six days later. I did not have to do a pre op diet due to my BMI.
