Pre op diet

I'm on day 11 of my pre op diet. It's an all liquid protein diet I've actually lost 15lbs.

My surgery is on Tuesday the 17th. I'm thinking of cheating tonight and having hot wings one last time.

Does anyone think this will adversely affect the surgery. I have not strayed once since I started - thanks

You are almost to the finish line!

You will be able to eat hot wings again once you are back on regular food so it won't be the last time.

I just bake mine until crispy and then use Louisiana hot sauce. It is one of my favorite things to eat. I pull the meat off the bones and skip the skin.

You can get to the end if you made it this far without cheating.

I agree with emma.... Go ahead you will be fine.

  • 4 weeks later...

Today I just started my 2 weeks liquid diet and my surgery is April 23rd. Question? My friend had bypass done in February and she told me that was ate hard boiled egg whites (no yolk) throughout the 2 week liquid diet. She said her surgery was fine and the doctor said everything looked good. Has anyone else tried egg whites or other alternatives?
