I'm on day 11 of my pre op diet. It's an all liquid protein diet I've actually lost 15lbs. My surgery is on Tuesday the 17th. I'm thinking of cheating tonight and having hot wings one last time. Does anyone think this will adversely affect the surgery. I have not strayed once since I started - thanks

Tomorrow is one week post op for me and I'm still crazy bloated. I feel like there is a basketball in there I need to hold my left side when I walk.???? I have the back pains that someone else had mentioned although they were slightly alleviated by walking for a while today. I am also not able to get all the protein and water down that they want us to have. 50g protein drinks & water broth Popsicles. We are to aim for 64 oz. I'm not sure if I hurt it I'm full when I do drink them. I'm exhausted and not sleeping now. Also have had a massive headache all day. It is nice to seeing not the only one with these issues. ???? Dr actually wants me to come in tomorrow to ck me out which is comforting in a way. I know it will all pass but I wish it would go a Iot faster. Today up walking for 15 mins at a time basically around the house. Took a shower that was awesome. I vacuumed a bit wiped some dust off a few things and was licked! I pretty much tried to rest and walk my 15 mins every other hour or so the rest of the day. I'm extremely bloated and my left side is hurting. It's very frustrating that I'm so bloated it is hard to tell if I'm full or just hurting. Does anyone know how long it takes for your belly to go down? I've gained 12 pounds from the hospital

Third day in home, they weaned me off the good pain killers I do have a little pump that is supposedly helping. It is very uncomfortable my incisions on the left side are the worst. Dr. Said this was the camera site which is manipulated more and will be more sore i am also crazy bloated. I'm now allowed the hydrocodone and just had my first dose definatly helps calm me down. We are supposed to try and get at least 1 Protein drink in today. It's hard to tell if I'm full or if it's pain from inscsions. I'm going to try to stick with 2tbs every 15 min which is what the dr and nurses suggested even gave me a ton of medicine cups. Just wanted to share my after hope everyone is doing well- peace

Day after surgery and feeling good. My stomach is tight and bloated from the air but that will go away. I was up walking yesterday and walked quit a bit today it helps with the gas. I'm actually very scared as I walked past cookies and chips and thought yum is like some. I'm terrified I'll accidentally pick something up and eat it without thinking

????????????Tomorrow is the big day, so excited and so scared at the same time. I know this is the beginning to a new me. Just not looking forward to the initial pain. Had surgery about 10 yrs ago and got mrsa, so scared I may get it again.

Hi I'm March 17th crazy nervous but trying to relax, Ive waited so long. I'm on day 11 of my 2 week liquid diet, sadly I cheated today first time. Had 4 hot wings and some cheese fries ???? I just wanted one last taste. I'm hoping I didn't mess up my surgery. I'm set for 11:00 am Where are u? I live in Virginia

So glad I found this chain. My surgery is March 17 and I have only told the husband my older kids and daughter In law. My husband keeps insisting that I need to tell his kids 18/15 and his mom. I don't need the grief, none of them have a clue what it's like to fight your whole life with your weight and all the emotional baggage you drag along. I have told him I don't want to share it- so frustrating. Thanks for the great ideas my fav lipstick lady- lol ????????

So nice to see I wasn't alone in my trying to get a taste of all things I love which all horrible for you one last time. At least for about a year. My Dr. Has me on a liquid diet two weeks before surgery. I'm scheduled for March 17th. I started my liquid diet the other day I'm heading into day 4 tomorrow it actually hasn't been as bad as I thought. It's all protein and clear liquids. My stomach grumbles a lot but it's not hungry which k am thankful for! Good luck everyone.
