Oct 2014 surgery

In February 2009 I had a band placed and lost 35 kg over two years. It was a very slow process as my metabolism was very slow and I could eat hardly any food. In 2011 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in my lap band moved and I put on 75 kg. and a maximum of 175 kg in October 2014 I had the band removed and a bypass surgery. My two nights day became a seven night stay due to major complications which resulted in me having to additional surgeries that same week to fix. Since then I have now lost 48 kg and have never been better. I no longer suffer from reflux and I'm careful with what I eat but I can eat which is more than I could with the band. Only downside is in the last few months my hair is falling out a bit more than normal and I've been getting bad vertigo for no reason. Still would never change anything. Best decision of my life.

I live in Brisbane Australia and happy to talk to anyone in Australia needing advice
