I have been diagnosed with a marginal ulcer. This is the second ulcer I have gotten. This one is real large. The GI Dr said it's due to a large gastric pouch. He says it's releasing a lot of acid. I've been on Prilosec 40mg since my second surgery (2nd hernia repair) which took place 2 months after my RNY. I have also used Carafate and now taking 2 different antibiotics. I am now being referred to another bariatric specialist. Surgery (revision) seems to be the only fix at the moment.
Has anyone else experienced this???
