Hypoglycemia?

I am 6 months out now from my surgery and I have lost 75lbs. I have been very irritable, fatigued and shaky lately and sometimes I feel faint. My blood pressure is always fine (I've never had an issue with it anyway) and my bloodwork always comes back good. But I do still have trouble hitting my Protein goal.

Could this be hypoglycemia I'm experiencing? Has anyone else had this issue?

It could be. Befriend a diabetic and borrow a blood sugar meter (or buy one from a pharmacy off the shelf) When you feel like you have described above you can test to see if it is truly a blood sugar issue.

I'm a diabetic, and yes it does sound very much like how I get when I am having a hypo - I think you should go and get checked out for this as its not good to let it go on. Also buy yourself some dextrose tablets and take 3 or 4 of those when you are feeling like this - if it makes you feel better quickly, you will also have your answer... Take care. this isn't something to be ignored.

Thanks ladies. Although there are people in my life that have diabetes I've never had these kinds of issues before so it helps to get some insight. I have been prone to drops in blood pressure and anemia since my teen years but nothing like that seems to be the issue.

Thanks again!
