  • Hi Everyone. I apologize I have not been on. I had my surgery on Monday and had my IV's in for my liquids and pain meds. Day 2 was rough for me. I could not handle sips of water or oral pain meds. Eve

My daughter turns 21 tomorrow and up this point, it has been all about her. So, I decided 2015 was going to be all about ME! I'm scheduled for March 3, 2015!!!

I am now starting my 5th day since the surgery and no more meds. I haven't had any issues with Isopure, crystal light waters or watered down Protein shakes. I have to work at getting the volume in, drinking from small shot glass or plastic cups has helped me from taking to much at a time.

Most of the painful gas from the surgery is gone and boy am I glad, that was uncomfortable. Sneezing from my allergies has been no fun, but it art of the deal.

I am looking forward to puree food, interested in being able to add some different tastes to the food.

Over all I am very happy with my progress, it is great to be able to see the successes of others also.

Hello March sleevers, it's official. I was sleeved this morning. I am so exhausted. These meds have me coming in and out sleep. Thank you for all the advice, support and encouragement.

HELP----- I am not even 3 weeks post op and was losing so much weight! Had actually lost 3stone including the pre op diet and I went on my scales today and I have put on 2kg!!! How the hell have I PUT ON 2kg I am so upset and depressed

I got mine done March 23rd still recovering I don't feel hungry wish is good but I need to take the protein I tried the shakes and my new stomach did not like it :/ any other suggestions?

What did you mix your shake with? From what I understand a lot of people have an aversion to milk after the surgery. I was sleeves on the 25th and I've been using isopure drinks to get in my protein.

I'm using water today but it was too sweet and do I love sweets but that was way too much lol so I might try the bars instead and see how does go

i had my surgery the last Monday 23, sleeve

I did too around 12 pm good luck

When did you have surgery? From what I have seen most people find that their wight is up after surgery due to all the IV fluids & surgery in general. Don't get discouraged yet!

How are you doing now? Have you tried lactaid milk, or lactose free milk? It is gentle on the stomach but still real milk. There is a medical grade protein you can order ( depending where you live I'm sure) called Unjury. They make a chicken soup flavour that you mix with warm water. It is pretty yummy and it is easy to drink. If you don't have access to Unjury, you may be about to find something else. Try different protein shakes until you find one you like. Good luck!

Not really, but I went through that prior to surgery.

I'll check into that one I see my surgeon today for a fallow up and see what other option I have :)

Thanks

I had it on 13th March

Conrad's Marcy, relax and have a speedy recovery.

Also stay away from Facebook while on the narcotics, I posted some strange things that I don't recall doing. I blamed it on my account being hacked, just avoid it.

Home now. Napping walking and sipping. Weird feeling like i should eat but I'm not hungry. Gas pains not pleasant, miss my IV Dilaudid. I couldn't use my phone either lol.
