New to this

Hi my name is Eddy. Im very new to this whole thing, I have always had a weight problems since I was little, I don't think I have ever been skinny my entire life not only that diabetes runs in my family and unfortunately my dad was a losing battle and he end up dying from a heart attack when he was in a car accident. A lot of people in family worry that I was wasn't to end up like him. Not only that I suffer from depression and other medical problems. I always found comfort in food which has always been my downfall and which led to more serious problems in the past couple of months. Now I really want to change that and I really don't want to suffer like my dad did (today he would have been 64). I made the step so far to start the process I just need to send in the paperwork. I have a lot of questions about process before the surgery and if anybody has cigna Healthcare what are the guidelines for surgery pre op, it would help out. Thank you so much

Welcome to the site. I am 20 months post-op. I have lost 110 pounds from RNY surgery. My diabetes and high blood pressure went into remission almost right after the surgery and I am no longer taking any medication for those problems.
