does it take for the appoval process? I wanted to have it done before Thanksgiving.

This all depends on your carrier, doctor's office, company, etc. Usually carriers have to respond to requests for precert within a week or so, but more often than not there's something missing. It's rarely cut and dried.

I've heard of people that find out in 2 weeks, took me about a month, and some that take 2 or 3 months...everything is different...good luck!
