Got my surgery date!

Hi Every one! I have my date for surgery! It's Feb 19, 2015!! It's all coming together now! I can already feel the anxiety building. Signing all the paperwork today and acknowledging all the risks was tough to swallow! I mean believe me... I know this is major surgery and there are major risks but... still initialing all the risks... that most of those sentences ended in "or even death" was tough. My surgeon is great though and super confident. I still feel good, just nervous a little. I imagine as the time gets nearer I will get more nervous but its great to have a place to vent and see other people who are going through the same things! I have two smaller procedures scheduled before the surgery, and endoscopy and IVC filter placement to help prevent blood clots. did anyone else have these done? what can I expect pain wise? I don't want to take any more work off than I have to. Any advice would be great! All in All.... I'm super excited! Can't wait to move forward to a new healthier beginning!!

  • Congratulations! I am so excited for you. The endoscopy will be something you can get through pretty easy. My friend had one before her surgery and the only thing she noticed was a bit of a sore throa
