Late period.. Surgery 22/01/2015

Help! I am over a week late for my period and my gastric bypass is on Thursday. I really don't want to be on my period for my surgery. I have taken northisterone tablets before to delay it do you reckon I can take it now? I can't make a doctors appointment now as to short notice! Thanks all x
