My port is bulging out!

Ok folks,

Has this happened to anyone? I am 12 days post op and it is completely obvious where my port it becasue it sticks out! It's not noticable unless your looking at my bare belly - but still.... Mybe it's still swollen?

Just asking.

You shouldnt be swollen there after 12 days, perhaps the doctor didnt make a big enough pocket for it...

Wait a few more days then make an appointment with your surgeon

I am 9 weeks post op and my port is very prominent. It is more even with the skin but I can touch it and feel it. It is my buddy!!! No pain.

hi sportsmom,.... my name is Ann . i was banded 3 years ago. congratulations on being banded.sorry your having trouble though. could be just swollowing, but if it doesn't go down then have your doctor check you for a hital hernia.i noticed after 3 years that i was still swollowing around the port of the band and i had a egd done to fine out i have a hital hernia the size of a foot ball in my stomach.but you will be just fine. you can reach me at fordforda9466@aol.com i hope to hear from you . hugs Ann

Thanks Ann - I didn't even think of the hernia thing. Have appt on the 11th of June for fill. Hopfully we'll figure it out.
