HOLY. COW. I did not know until today that all of your receipts for bariatric supplements, vitamins, meal replacements, protein, etc. are ALL TAX DEDUCTIBLE because it is a physician prescribed diet. This is the best news ever! I am saving those receipts!!!

I think some folks use protein shakes and other items. Not just protein bars. And if you buy ready made then even more cost.

My protein shakes cost $30 every two days. So 180 days x $30 = $5400 a year ?

Then bars. Then the vitamins being they're prescribed as a must

So depending on your personal lifestyle. Yes I guess you could deduct it

I don't use shakes or bars anymore

I eat real food and get my nutrients there.

Plus I have no desire to get into a pissing match or raise any flags with the IRS. Thanks. No thanks.
