Hi everyone! My name is Michaela I'm newish here. I was sleeved on June 5th of this year. I was 23 at the time and 24 now. I'm closing in on the 100 pound mark which is super exciting! I have definitely noticed a lot of life changes as far as relationships and frienships go...I would love to hear stories of changes you've experienced and how you have dealt with them.

Congratulations! You've done amazing! Love your blog, too! One of the better ones I've seen. Your writing is beautiful! And your VSG was a day after my birthday Anyway, like everyone else, had a few bumps in the beginning, but loving being in control of my eating and losing steadily every week (about 1.5-2lbs)...I'm a little slower than others but that's okay I'm about 50lbs to goal, and I'll keep up the good fight until then and beyond!

I am pre-op (surgery is in February 2015) but I have lost a significant amount of weight of my own and have noticed a shift in many of my friends (and some families) attitude towards me and my outward appearance.

I wish I could understand the change, or why it has happened, and it makes me concerned about how things are going to be post op.

How have the people in your life changed towards the new you?

@ It's weird...the people closest to me treat me pretty much the same. It's not too bad. A lot of acquaintances though are all of a sudden much nicer to me. I feel like my office at work is a revolving door with how many people want to stop by and chat. I get much more attention from guys as well. I knew it was going to happen...they actually prepare you for it in the group sessions you have to go to where I got my surgery. It's still very strange to deal with though. I'm having a much harder time with it than I thought I would.

I have noticed that too, at work, people who used to just walk right by now notice me. I am curious about how my SO will act after surgery. Congratulations on your success by the way, I hope I do half as well as you are doing!
