Bruising?

My stomach is so purple from bruising. I had to have a blood transfusion on day 3 in the hospital. I'm asking my surgeon today at my 2 week follow up appt. What happened! Has anyone else experienced this?

My stomach was one huge purple bruise three days after surgery. It was even a darker purple on the lower right side. I think my surgeon was especially rough during my procedure because he was in a huge hurry. My surgery was delayed because of some troubles I was having and it seemed to rush the actual surgery process. I had terrible pain that I think may have been worse than others because all the roughness.

Two weeks later, my belly was still blue and yellow. Three weeks later, there was just yellow left.

I had big bruises from heparin shots in my belly, but that was it. Betcha if all medical procedures had to be video and audio recorded, the doctors would be way more cautious and delicate.

The only nasty bruise I have is from having an IV removed after getting a shot of lovenox... No one will notice the lovely bruise when I go back to work on Thursday, right??? :/
