Post nasal drip

So...I've been having a really bad time with post nasal drip...been on muniexD for a week, it seem to work, however I think it's my dog causing most of it. Just got her in April, haven't had a dog in 4 years and been itching a little bit since April. When I'm out of town I'm fine. Last week I went out of town and I felt better. Was drinking 40-50oz of fluids and no nausea feeling. Picked her up Monday morning and have felt like shit since. Picked up allergy medicine last night....anyone else have similar outcome??? Also does post nasal drip last forever?
