For sure you should appeal their decision. I've read somewhere, maybe on this site, about the best way to appeal a denial. Maybe try searching for denial or appeal. I've also read a lot of appeals

I just got a call from the doctors office. They said my insurance won't pay for the surgery because I don't have diabetes. Now I don't know what to do. My primary doctor told me that there is no way I can lose the weight without surgery. I can't afford to pay for it as I am unemployed and my husband is the only one with an income. I am so defeated and depressed. I don't know what I'm going to do. I just want to crawl in a hole and hide.
