Brand newbie here...

Greetings... just getting started on this journey after being overweight all of my life. I am 53 yr old single granny raising three grandkids, two are under two...lol. Yes, I am crazy. I never thought I would actually be doing this.. WLS. But I am blessed to have qualified and been approved so far. I have Kaiser insurance and as of now I am scheduled to begin the 12 weeks of required education classes Nov 3rd. I have had and have lots of appts and requirements to meet the next three months. I am scared, excited and very overwhelmed with it all right now. I am thankful at a chance for a new life , where I can be more mobile and in less pain.

I work part time as a teacher and am wondering how long I need to take off after surgery? I have lots of questions but they can wait... glad to be here.

I would say that no two people are the same as far as their surgeries and recovery so it is hard to tell.

I have had a lot of issues where as many others here have not..
