Bitter tasting shakes with burping

Ok, so today I started my pre op liquiid diet. I have many different brands to try and see what fits me best or I can tolerate. BUT with that being said, so far I am burping and generally have a bitter foul taste.

* please note * When ever I have tried diet drinks in the past even sodas, anything with fake sweeteners, makes me ill , I will burp and taste it all day

Which is exactly what i am doing now.

I dont think I can take 3 weeks of this. And if I need to drink alot of these protien shakes afterwards, Im looking at the same problem. I am getting this sharp metallic bitter taste that is not going away, and the gas tastes even worse.

Any hints or ideas to help ? I have already cheated some, to cut the bitter metallic taste I have eaten a couple potato chips.

primier Protein was fine with me i had that with others too

Most of the common Protein shakes are whey based. You may want to look for other Protein powder sources such as Gemma Peas or Egg Whites.
