You put WAY too much pressure on yourself. Do you want to know how much weight *I* lost pre-op? 5lbs. The rest of what I've lost to date has been POST-op weight loss. Remember, your body is different

Your apology is appreciated, but your intentions are misplaced. ALL of us on this forum have tried everything possible before taking the leap of faith into surgery. I've personally spent MORE on weigh

I was hoping before my surgery to drop 20lbs. I am about the same weight as when I started this process and so disappointed in myself. A lot of people here before they were banded were able to lose large amounts of weight even though they were not able to keep it off. I have never been able to lose more than 20lbs in the last 15 years. It makes me nervous that maybe I am not disciplined enough for the band and I'm scared of failing at this. Desperately scared.
If there is anyone out there who feels the same or who was subsequently successful post band who is like me I would love to hear from you.
Ironically my surgeon is not a big fan if the sleeve but he has a lap band himself and said if I show up each month and eat slow I should be fine but I'm not sure I'm cut out for this.
My surgery is November 4th! Thanks.
