Insurance Approval... How long?

I am waiting for insurance approval for my surgery. I was wondering how long it took other people out there to get approved. I have been waiting a month already.

    It will vary by insurance company, so it's hard to say what an average timeframe would be. You could call you insurance company to get an idea.

    A month?! Oh my. What insurance do you have?

    On Oct 1 my doc is submitting the paperwork to the insurance. I am going to pray that it goes quickly. The suspense is going to drive me crazy.

    I was actually just approved yesterday. My surgery date is November 3rd. It took a month, but was worth the wait.
