Long time waiting

Hi

I stopped working April 22 2014 because of my knee. I could not walk on it that day so now I am on extended short term disability. I have been having problems with my knees more than 10 years ago, it just got worse over the years. My ortho doc told me that I have to lose weight before surgery to replace my knee. May comes along I am thinking I need to do the weight loss surgery so I make an appt....did not get the first appt. till July 7th, then a few appts made for later July and August. The one appt. that kind of struck to me was my psch. eval was not till Sept. 12 (tomorrow). That is the first one! Plus I will see my NUT tomorrow as well. It's Sept. I feel I am not getting ahead...I am at this point thinking about going someplace else. Also keep in mind that I participated the behavior track before cause I was not sure about surgery before. This was 3 years ago. I will try to get more info tomorrow and we shall see. The thing is I want to have this surgery soon that way I can recover and get ready for my knee replacement so I can go back to work next April.

Do you think I am being impatient or is this downright ridiculous?

I think it depends on how good your surgeon is. Could you get someone just as good quicker? My journey has gone much faster. However, I would have waited longer to keep the same surgeon. Maybe it has taken longer because your surgeon is in such demand. You should do some research on it.
