Registration process seam excessively long ?

Hi folks,

I am a newbie here. I'm pretty convinced that lap band surgery will work for me. Although I do have many questions. I've done the whole online registration process and just waiting for a while now for something to happen. I would like to talk to someone in the Doctors office like a consultation to be sure that I have made a good decision and know what to expect.

I have Lyme Disease and Fibromyalgia (among other things) and take strong antibiotics daily, these tear the stomach up. I take Probiotics to help protect it along with pantoprozole. I'm a bit afraid that my gastritis will not allow me to be a good candidate.

I noticed someone said on one of these forums (I think that had the same DR as I) that she was #23 on the list. Is this a waiting list ? I would love to get this done right away, is it normal to have such a lengthy process? I have BCBS insurance, I hope that there wouldn't be a problem with them approving the surgery. Could I be dreaming?

I don't gorge on food, like eating a whole bag of Cookies all at once or anything like that but I do eat large portions according to the standards. My appetite won't change will it? will I still want to eat more food? I read of "dumping" what is this?

Thanks for anyone who has taken the time to read my scrambled mind of thoughts.

I'm not sure what you're asking? Don't know what state or country you're from so I'm not familiar with any online registration? You might want to go to a PC and fill in your profile?

Here in the states we usually just call the Surgeon's office and make an appointment for a consult? The office people will direct you to what happens next? It's not going to be the same for every doctor. They all have different protocols and I've never heard of a waiting list?

Call them, don't wait.
