Meds Post Op

I am one week post op, and am still struggling with having to crush my pills. My doctor's office says I have to do this for four months!!!! Crazy! Anybody have a favorite food/drink they like best for mixing in their crushed pills?

So far I've tried Jello, pudding, Soup, yogurt, and Protein shakes.

Maybe I just have to deal with it and choke it down twice a day. I dread medication time!!!

I also despise crushing pills. I should have tried doing it before surgery. It could have been a game changer for me it is sooooo bad. I take a teaspoon of protein drink and put the crushed pills on top not on the spoon first because when you slide the protein drink off the spoon into your mouth you can taste it. Not so much if the pill is on the top. Hold your breath and swallow the spoonful. It's disgusting and don't use a tablespoon it is too much to swallow at one time. This is the only way I can take mine and I still dread it!

I got went and bought some sugar free pudding ready to go . That's what we mix r residents at work who have trouble swallowing . I get banded Tommorow .
