Feel like crap

Sx on 7/21. Not eating more than 2 teaspoons of food once or twice daily. Have severe heartburn, stomache aches. Vomit daily. How long before I stop feeling like crap?

Have you talked to your surgeon? If you aren't getting any food down, then that is definitely a cause for concern, since you likely aren't getting your protein. If you are having chronic heartburn, your surgeon may be able to prescribe something.

I am in the introducing food phase

Yes, talk to your doctor right away. This is not normal. I didn't have any of those problems.

Surgeon asap, something is not right

Ditto on all the above... but what kind of surgery did you have? If you've just started reintroducing foods is that when the vomiting started or have you not kept anything down since surgery?

Definitely see your doc... not normal at all!

Started since reintroducing can keep some

from another nurse: call the docs today and get in soon. you should be able to get in a bit more than that. you probably need some acid inhibitors pronto. keep your fluids up.my lifesaver is coconut water and they even make one with protein. you could have a stricture but sometimes it just takes some folks longer. you will feel a lot better with the acid inhibitors, you could also try some gaviscon over the counter, very soothing for the burning. hope you do better soon. love sara
