As anyone ever had on of these ?? Nervous about it . Can u tell me what's it like .

My daughter had one a few years ago. They gave her a valium or valium equivalent to make her dopey and then they inserted the scope to find some lesions on her esophagus. They're probably trying to find out if you have a herniated esophagus or any other problems like ulcers. Not really a biggy and it's over before you know it.

I had one done before. Honestly I do not remember it. They gave me meds so I was out of it. You will be fine and it will be over before you know it. My throat was a little sore afterwards but nothing major. Good Luck!
