Insurance approval sent too early

Hey everyone I'm not sure if anyone has encountered this but I think it's kind of strange. I have just completed everything for insurance approval over the past month EXCEPT the 3 month supervised diet. I have 2 more appointments with the NUT. One next week and the Last one should be October 3rd and after that i was told they would submit everything over for approval. However I just got a denial from my insurance in the mail, looks like somehow they thought I was having surgery back on the 19th?! I do plan on talking to the office when i go see the NUT but I was wondering if anyone knew if this would affect my approval in Oct.? I don't know anything about the appeal process!

Hi. My info was sent in early. I was denied because they said I didn't do 90 days of supervised visits. They said I only did 64 days. I go back for my last Nut appt on Tuesday. My coordinator said that everything has been approved except for that. They just need to send it to the nurse that reviewed my case and she will handle the appeal. Hope that helps.

Nope not happy about this. They said the appeal could take up to 60 days. That is ridiculous! The office was only checking benefits and they were not trying to pre certify. But i guess my insurance made a mistake and put down that it was a pre cert with no back up documents. They did a denial on the pre cert back in August. This is causing the whole process to take longer. My paperwork was sent in again last Monday. :(
