I received my Aetna approval letter about 4 days after my surgeons office called and told me I was approved. When I opened the letter it says that I am approved and that my admission date is 8/28/2014? Does this mean that is my surgery date? I have yet to receive a date from my surgeons office and my pre-op appointment is 8/21/2014? Anyone knows what that date means?

It might be. My friend called Aetna and was told that the surgeon had put a date in her paperwork. That date may be pushed back a few days because she was just approved today and it was documented for September 5th.
