Ekg & chest xray

So a little concerned as I got a call from surgeons ofc today asking if I had EKG or chest X-Ray said no so being sent for both wed morning. Surgery is scheduled for Friday morning. If either come back with problems I will be devastated!!

Don't sweat it. I had both as part of my pre op testing. It was required for me. Best of luck and try not to stress, all will be fine.

They are both standard tests before a big surgery like this. You'll be fine. Good luck!

just standard testing for pre-op. if you are a certain age, it's an automatic thing. it's also required of some surgeons regardless of age. good luck, i'm sure it will be A-ok!

It's standard pre-op tests for surgery.

They use them as benchmarks for how you are "before" surgery -- so they can compare it to your EKG during during surgery (if they need to) to see what's "normal" for you. Likewise, the chest x-ray shows what your innards look like pre-surgery -- and how anything afterward varies from your pre-op normal.
