Counting down the hours...surgery is tomorrow!!!

Recommended Posts

Well...the time has come and now I'm getting scared. I have to be at the hospital tomorrow at 11:30 am for my 1:30 pm surgery. I can't believe that it's here...on one hand I'm excited (Optifast for the past two weeks has been horrible), and on the other hand I'm terrified. Lots of emotions going through me right now. What have I done to myself to make me get to this point? Why do I need a band around my stomach so I can lose weight...why can't I do it myself? Will I be able to do it with the band? Hopefully after all of this is done and I'm working with the band I'll feel better about all of this. Did you guys feel this way too? Any advice for me? You guys are all so great and have done a wonderful job with your weight loss. If I can do as great as you, I will know that I have made the right decision. Thanks guys!!!

Good luck!! My surgery is also scheduled for tomorrow. I have to be in houston at 7:00 for my 9:30 surgery. Very very nervous. I have had all the same thoughts that you have so you are not alone. Everything will go great for both of us. Let us know how everything went. :clap2:

Good luck to both of you!!!!:)

I felt very wierd the day before my surgery. It was almost like an out of body experience, just seemed so real. On the day itself I felt very relaxed about it all. At that point I knew I was making the right decision!:) My poor husband was much more nervous than me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
