Dry mouth

Hi all! I'm currently on day 9 of the 10 day pre-op liquid diet. I don't know if it's the Protein shakes or Crystal Light or what, but my tongue and mouth is crazy dry and I have a constant weird taste in my mouth (and probably bad breath). I've been drinking more plain Water, but it's not helping.

Has anyone else experienced this?? I've heard of taste buds changing after surgery...is this the start of it???
