    If you are supposed to quit smoking prior to surgery, one would think that that would include pot as well. As I am sure it also affects your lung function and could lead to complications with the anes

If you are supposed to quit smoking prior to surgery, one would think that that would include pot as well. As I am sure it also affects your lung function and could lead to complications with the anesthesia, blood clots and/ or pneumonia. As for afterwards.. why would you want too? We all know that smoking pot leads to the munchies sooner or later.. why risk throwing up, going through the dumping syndrome or doing something worse to yourself by smoking it?. If you are going to put your body through a major surgery like this, why wouldn't you help yourself to become the healthiest it can be and just stay away from the drugs??
