I am in need of a mentor. Someone who has been banded and has had success. I know people locally who have been banded and

have not succeeded. I can't talk with them. I need help. I didn't go through all this to fail...again and again and again.

There are a lot of successful, compliant banders on this site, so you are in the right spot. I have never "mentored" anyone before, but I have become a "buddy" with several banders. I have private message conversations with four different people, and I answer questions, offer support, and share what works for me and what doesn''t. I would be happy to buddy up with you. I can gladly offer encouragement and support. I'm not quite a year out from my surgery, but I have learned so much here. I would have been lost without this group. I am no expert and I have not had the "normal experience" according to my surgeon, but I know what has worked for me, my band, and my body.
