Actually all gastric sleeve requires a medical director to review it. Nurses and "regular" people aren't allowed to make decisions regarding medical necessity. Must be a doc Does that make sense?

Wow, you're in a purée stage? I can only drink liquids. I have an appt on Wednesday and hopefully she will take the drain out and advances me to purée foods. I'm missing food. I'm waking all the way . Actually working from home, taking care of 2 kids.

I'll try too freeze those isopure proteins maybe it will work

Thanks and feel better

I'm on day 4 post-op I'm having problems with my Protein intake I drink the Isopure because it's 40 grams of protein in a bottle....try freezing it like a Popsicle.....Or after every sip of Isopure, sip on Water. I walked for 5 mins today too. I'm feeling good....I shoved a box with my foot last night n that made my tummy hurt but I got some rest n I feel wayyyy better....just remember you're in a baby stage eat well in our case drink, sleep n sh*t(sorry for being crude). Stay hydrated....we got this!!

What an awesome idea. Freeze the stinkers

Isopure is definitely gross

No I'm not on puréed stage I'm on liquids still. My reference to babies is that WE are babies, we shouldn't be trying to do too much besides drink, sleep n poop...n take little walks.

Yes Isopure is gross....I also find if u shake it vigorously after every sip it makes it a but bit more palpable....not sure of it's all in my head but it works for me. So I drink one Isopure in the day n Premier Protein at night.

Yes, I was just at the 40 and was approved. They require a 40 so as long as you are thier, you're good :)

I have a big problem. I can't tolerate protein shakes since surgery. They are so sweet for me that it makes me sick. I don't even have 10g daily . I know it's bad for me but I can't. I tried different ones and tried freezing it. Not working.

Ditto. Nasty stuff

I have dr. Appt today, if she allows me to have some food, I will buy that protein powder unflavored and I will add that to the food to bust my intake because I will not go far on 10g a day. I'm so blah right now, have no energy.

I add decaf coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg n almond essence to my premier protein vanilla shake....makes it much more palatable

You're really experimenting with those shakes :). I'm cleared for next stage. Blended soups, drinkable yogurts, smoothies, so I can add this unflavored protein powder to it. And the drain is out . I'm so happy I progressed. And I'm down 32 lbs since my preop diet.
