Hello all, it's been a while so I just wanted to update my progress. I was sleeved on 7/24 and as of this morning I'm down 61 lbs. Please, send your update July sleevers. -

Hi, I had surgery on 7/24 and lost 28 lbs. so you're not doing different than any other people. And as for mother in law..., I have one like that too but she lives with me... The best thing to do..., don't talk. I don't talk to her unless is emergency and this way she's not asking me every day how much I lost and what I can eat. -

Hi, reading all those posts I think we are all doing the same. I was sleeved on 7/24 and since surgery I lost 15 lbs. I had a 2 week stall and this morning my scale showed that I gain 3 lbs.. Maybe it's fit to my constipation because I'm trying to get all my protein in and not the fiber. It's very discouraging . -

I just order Mederma. It's a little expensive but they say it's working. Two times a day for 8 weeks and you should see results. -
You're really experimenting with those shakes . I'm cleared for next stage. Blended soups, drinkable yogurts, smoothies, so I can add this unflavored protein powder to it. And the drain is out . I'm so happy I progressed. And I'm down 32 lbs since my preop diet.

I have dr. Appt today, if she allows me to have some food, I will buy that protein powder unflavored and I will add that to the food to bust my intake because I will not go far on 10g a day. I'm so blah right now, have no energy.

I have a big problem. I can't tolerate protein shakes since surgery. They are so sweet for me that it makes me sick. I don't even have 10g daily . I know it's bad for me but I can't. I tried different ones and tried freezing it. Not working.

They go off of your initial weight, so even if you loose some weight that's ok, they want to see that too.

Wow, you're in a purée stage? I can only drink liquids. I have an appt on Wednesday and hopefully she will take the drain out and advances me to purée foods. I'm missing food. I'm waking all the way . Actually working from home, taking care of 2 kids. I'll try too freeze those isopure proteins maybe it will work Thanks and feel better

Thanks a lot for your advice. I can only have like 3-4 oz at one time. Also I have those painfully cramps in my chest. It's driving me nuts. Those isopure drinks...,., I tried and they're discusting. I can get those to go down

Hello All..... I'm 3 days post-op. I'm so happy that did this but I have some issues . Drain on my left side bothers me so much, that it drives me crazy and also I have problems with liquids. I can only fit like 20oz of liquids . My stomach gurgles all the time I drink and also I feel pain when I swallow. I'm only able to get like 25g of protein out of 60g. Also I get this sharp pain In the middle in my chest.... Anyone had the same ?

Hello All, have to tell you that I got approved. I'm so happy that my liquid diet didn't go to the garbage and that on Thursday I can start new journey. Jersrose43 thank you very much for you helpful tips

So I just wanted to update my process. I saw my Ob Gyn and he wrote that letter for me. Also today I got a letter form Cigna that they request more informations . I have to call the office tomorrow and see if they got that letter also and they have to send those informations soon if we will keep 7/24 as surgery date. I'm so stressed about this whole thing ....

I spoke with my Ob Gyn and he will give me the recommendation letter. I have an appt tomorrow. He wants to see me to see my pre op results and talk to me before he write it. Thanks so much for this idea, I hope it will work.

Oh my god, you're the best..... I will call my Ob Gyn today and ask if he can do it. He's my doctor also. Why I didn't think of it. Thanks a lot. I'll let you know if he did it.

Hi, I just find out my PCP doctor is on vacation and I can't get recommendation letter till next Monday and my surgery is next Thursday 7/24. I think I'm bummed . I will never get approval from insurance in 2 days

Hi.... My surgery is scheduled on 7/24 and I'm waiting for approval from Cigna. I'm very nervous that I will not get the approval... How long did it take to get approval. I'm on my pre op diet right now and it would be sad to go through all this and not get to the grand finale.... Gastric sleeve
