I just don't believe this...

I hit the weight goal my doctor suggested back in March. So at this point, I just weigh myself on the first day of each month. It's part of my transition to maintenance. No more myfitnesspal and no more weighing daily or weekly. I'm really trying to do this without the crutches of tracking everything I eat or every ounce I gain/lose.

I looked down at the scale and saw it said 139.6 and was dumbfounded. I haven't been in the 130's since I was a very young woman. Even when I dropped alot of weight in the early 90's, I never got below 150 lbs.

I felt like I was walking on air today just running around doing my errands, going to the Y, just regular stuff. I swear, even with the back pain, and the other crap going on, I am happier than I've been in years. Thank you lap band.

Wow Junie...pointers huh? Well....did you see what I have on my signature? It says compliant bandsters are successful bandsters. That says it all. Follow your doctor's protocol, don't test your band, and know that the journey is not linear. You will have good days and bad. It's just the way it works.

Oh, and one more important thing. The weight did not go on overnight, so don't expect to lose it that way either. During this whole journey since being banded, I've never lost more than 3 lbs. in one week. And most weeks, I lost less...way less...than 2 lbs. I've been at this for nearly a year and a half and even that's quick compared to many others.

Good luck, and let us know how you are doing once you 'get to the other side' as we call it.

Congratulations Gowalking!! Such an amazing accomplishment.
