Congrats on your band. I can't go on enough about how great my life has been since I had the surgery. Don't get me wrong I have had challanges, but but through all of them I have grown.

Hi, I am from Jacksonville and had lapband surgery yesterday by Dr. Narizi at ECU in Greenville. Came home the same day.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I'd be happy to make a NC version of the table that I made on the August 2008 board. It could have everyone's username, band date, dr, hometown? Check out the one on the board and let me know. It's easy to update and has really helped us to connect!

I was banded last Friday and doing well Thanks to all for all the support and tips. I just love this site. Especially since I don't know anyone else personally who has a band. I am in Apex N.C. and Dr. Enochs was my surgeon.

Hi, birdlady. Glad to meet you. Have you been to any of the Jacksonville WLS support meetings? If you are intereseted I'll let you know next time I one is scheduled. I am in Jacksonville, had surgery Oct 1, 07, in Mexico (Dr. Ortiz). My DH is currently going through the process to have Dr. Pender do his band surgery.

Carl, I am also from Franklin! I am on fluids now and having my banding on August 6th. Where did you have yours done? Who is your doctor here?

I would love to go to a meeting. The only support meetings I was aware of, was in Havelock which is too far for me to drive. And I feel I really need that extra support. I had a terrible first week, sick and threwing up all the time. Finally they told me to go the hospital to be evaluated for dehyration, I got an IV and now I am fine since this Monday. The liquids, meds, mushies, everything is staying down. Last week I wont have done this again, this week, is so different:biggrin2:. I lost 15 lbs in a week my general MD said.
