help

I'm 3 days post opt and still in hospital on IV fluids. I'm having severe reflux/chest pressure. My xray amd swallow study went okay but I've been gagging. This pain in the center of my chest is unbearable at times. They tell me it will just take time. .. but I'm nervous. Anyone else go through this? I don't want to regret this@

Diva, hang in there! It will get better. As long as they have checked you out medically, you are going to be ok! The first few days are truly the hardest. It really does get better every day. I didn't have any complications, but the first month IS hard. Praying you through this. We are here for you if you need us.

I was sleeved exactly 2 months prior to my wife. My surgery and recovery were textbook...zero complications. My wife on the other hand...she had two hernias repaired. She also had terrible reflux and an issue getting enough fluids. It took about a month for me to sleep with both eyes closed (in her state of mind, she was not to be trusted!), however she is doing great now and that early period is a distant memory.

I pray you have a speedy recovery and the same outcome as my bride. She is now 10 months out and we're lovin' life!
