vsg excessive burping post op

Hi everyone. I had surgery may 19,2014. Everything went well but I still have a lot of burping. Has anyone else experienced this? What could I do too prevent it?

I'm 7 months post-op and still dealing with the excessive uncontrollable burping. I think that's one of the biggest negatives that I've experienced after surgery lol, it's so embarrassing.

Aside from something like Gas x, not sure! It's a common problem.

lot of burping.

awwwwww man, was that YOU i just heard

some/many/most people burp or have a runny/sneezing nose

this happens when your cute little tummy starts/gets full :)

it can be embarrassing, but if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you...........

i didn't realize i would burp so often/and loud when i came home from hospital

one day hubby was in other room, and he heard my extra loud burp (you probably did too!! )

he kindof came running in the room and we had a good laugh

(i was a little sore, so he laughed more for the both of us!!! )

at 2.5 years PO, i sometimes still have a good burp or two :o

but i don't think theres anything that can prevent the situation ;)

get used to it while you are losing weight, and whistle while you "have" to shop for new clothes :)

good luck

continued speedy recovery

I'm a little over a year and a half out and burping and stomach gurgles have become my new normal!

After a meal if I am able to get away I take a 15 minute "burp walk" to work out the gas privately.

I'm 4 weeks out and burp a lot after meals. The first burp is usually my signal to stop eating so I don't really mind it. I just cover my mouth and try to keep it quiet. :)

I'll be a week post op on Monday. The belching and belly girgles are getting better. I haven't needed pain meds of or thrown up for a few days. Feeling happy

I'm 3 years out and have the burping sounds still. It has gotten better with time but still does happen. You get used to it and as time goes by they decrease.
