HI EVERYONE.... I want to introduce myself. My name is Cindy Virden from Medina, Ohio & I am starting my weight loss journey. I have allready finished all my tests, passed psych : ) and now have appt with surgeon and nutritionist on June 5th. Once that is finished they are submitting final recomendation to my insurance company. I am going to Cleveleand Clinic Bariatric

QUESTION: I realize that all insurance is different. I have BCBS and have coverage for my procedure. I just need to pick between the sleeve and Gastric bypass. Anyone with BCBS can you share your experience with approval time?

I actually work with BCBS and they say that pre'd/ auth approval time can range between 4-6 weeks. Most of the time I see then approved in under 3 weeks, as long as all the the dr's medical records are in order. Good Luck!!
