Scheduled for surgery on June 16th! It's starting to feel real now! Anyone else on the 16th?

Insurance companies have to have a date of service to process your file. When I called the insurance company to check on the status of my case they told me that proposed date was May 6th. When I was approved my surgery was scheduled for June 25th.

When did you start the process for WLS?

I started on March 26th, it would have been sooner, but I was waiting to get on a health insurance plan. Sarah and Tracy and Dr.Kang at south Sac bariatric all said I'm way ahead of most people I started with. I could have the surgery sooner, like in the next couple weeks, but I said I needed more time to prepare my house and job.

Same here. I think I went to the march 25 orientation. I wanted to do the May 22 Surgery but didn't work with my husbands schedule. So May 29th it is. Crazy how fast it's gone.

Just finished my pre op class at kaiser. Found out my pre diet requirements. 48 before: liquids 24 hrs before: clear liquids. Nothing after midnight before surgery unless you have a late day appt. 1:55pm 5/29/2014 Is my surgery. Two weeks from today. Can't wait!

Do you go to the support groups? I find them very helpful. I will definitely keep going.

Surgery is a month from tomorrow! not that I'm counting the days or anything
