Searching for suggestions

My mother is set to have sleeve May 20. To show her support and practice I'm doing the two week liquid diet with her. I plan to have sleeve in Aug or sept. We only started today. Oh my I'm not a cry baby however I am STARVING. The Protein drink was awful. So I'm concerned with doing this for two plus weeks. Seeking suggestions.

Thanks you

You have to try several different brands of protein shakes to find one you like. The pre-made ones are generally awful IMO. I went on vitaminshoppe.com and read all the reviews of the protein shakes that fit the parameters given to me by my NUT. I found several that I really like. That being said, the 2-week pre-op liquid diet is very hard for just about everyone. But it's temporary.

Try Premier Protien drinks, warm chicken broth sipped from a mug and Vitamin Water Zero for your electrolytes. By day 4 my hunger diminished quite a bit. Good luck!

My fav was GNC Gold Standard whey. Pre-op I enjoyed chocolate, but post-op, I only liked vanilla. I drank it mixed with Soy Milk or instant decaf from Starbucks. Post op I also drank powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken. Not my fav flavor, but tolerable and it always set well.

Thanks for the replies

I'm a bit frustrated myself as I find that I have stuck to the liquid plan and seem to have gained four pounds in less than one week. How can This be? Now all I really want is to break form and go out to eat.

check sodium content. May be making you retain water.
