Medical alert bracelet

Do any of you have a medical alert bracelet? I think I read somewhere that this is important after bariatric surgery. Thoughts?

    Good question. My doctor gave me a card to carry in my wallet - but they'd never locate it in time with all the junk I have in there! I wondered the same thing.

    I can't imagine what for. The only consideration is a smaller stomach and nothing is getting in there unless you are conscious. And if you are awake you can just tell them. Am I missing something.

    I am referring to a sleeve only. I certainly could see the need with Lap-Band or RNY. :huh:

    I have the sleeve and was told to get one that said "no blind gastro nasal tubes" on it as they could puncture our sleeves. Also I'm diabetic so that's on there even though I'm off all meds for it.

    Yes, the card my doctor gave me says something similar to that.

    I got a key chain off amazon that says no blind ng tubes. Its on my keys and their always with me.
